Unlike some disciplines with more singular career paths, Psychology graduates have diverse career options. If you have ever attended a Psychology Department orientation, you have likely heard the phrase, "Any job related to people involves psychology!" This implies endless possibilities but also means students cannot simply coast through their four years; you need to actively explore your goals and values to find the career path that suits you best.

To assist students in exploring future possibilities, our department provides support through three main channels: courses, activities, and community platforms.

The curriculum includes the elective course "Career Planning" for juniors. This course not only helps students understand their potential employment directions through psychological testing and class activities but also invites professors from related fields or alumni to share their career experiences.

The senior mandatory course "Psychology Practicum and Internship" is a unique feature of our department. Unlike many universities where students must find internships on their own, our department actively matches students with internship institutions and faculty laboratories. Students can intern at organizations of interest or join labs to study specific research topics, helping them decide whether to pursue a career in practice or academia. All internships are covered by formal contracts, and supervising professors regularly visit to ensure the students' rights and learning quality.

Regarding activities, the department collaborates with the Student Association to host multiple alumni speeches every semester and provides opportunities for students to dialogue with alumni. Through their real-world experiences, students can better understand the joys and challenges behind different professions, helping them make more suitable choices.

Finally, regarding community platforms, the "100 Alumni Mentors" platform compiles the career profiles and contact information of our graduates across five major fields: Clinical, Counseling, Industrial-Organizational (I/O), User Experience (UX), and Applied Psychology. This not only broadens students' horizons—showing that psychology is not limited to just clinical or counseling roles—but also provides a channel for students to seek advice from alumni.
